The photograph collection of the Oberlin Heritage Center contains over 1000 records including daguerreotypes, cartes de visite, tin types, glass slides, original prints, copies and digital images. They focus primarily on Oberlin people and families, buildings, businesses, schools, events and celebrations from 1833 to the present.
Those wishing to reproduce and use photographs from the collection please print out this photograph request form and mail or fax in.
Those having photographs of Oberlin they might be willing to donate or lend to be scanned, and be willing to grant permission to the Oberlin Heritage center to use, please contact the Collections Manager at [email protected]. We are particularly interested in photographs of community events, downtown buildings, schools, organizations, businesses, churches, houses and photographs which depict people in our town over the years, especially identified people.
