We want to hear from you!  Help us design a tour of downtown Oberlin.

In the coming year, the Oberlin Heritage Center will be developing a self-guided tour of historic downtown Oberlin that visitors can take on tablets or ipads. It will include fun facts, historic photographs, and more. What would you like to know about downtown Oberlin? Please take 2 minutes to answer 3 questions and help us make sure the tour meets your interests. Take the survey.

Visit the Oberlin Heritage Center to experience the authentic and celebrate the past. This award-winning museum complex includes three beautifully preserved historic sites, the Monroe House (1866), Jewett House (1884) and Schoolhouse (1836).

Explore this small Ohio college town with an extraordinary, nationally significant history. Discover Oberlin’s crucial role as part of the Underground Railroad and a hotbed of abolitionism, women’s activism, and scientific discovery.
Learn about ordinary people doing extraordinary things through lively tours and history walks, educational activities, workshops, special events, and the local history and genealogy resource center of the museum.
Connect with the past. Explore your heritage. Share what you learn with friends and family. Join fellow members, volunteers, and interns in our mission to preserve and share cultural resources for generations to come.

Ring the school bell. Climb the winding stair case. Stroll through time. Connect your kids to the past. Preserve your family treasures. Help save places that matter. Preserve Oberlin's history for tomorrow.
