Sept 6 - Victoria Woodhull for President!

September 6 (Tuesday, 7:15 p.m.)

Presenter: Anne McEvoy, Women in History

Did you know that the first woman to run for president, in 1872, was from Ohio? Anne McEvoy of the Lakewood-based non-profit Women in History (www.womeninhistoryohio.com) performs as Victoria Woodhull, a colorful and controversial woman of many interests, including spiritualism, women’s rights, free love, and high finance…and whose life was often surrounded by highly publicized scandal.  McEvoy’s 30-minute performance is followed by a Question and Answer session. The event is free and open to the public. Location: Kendal at Oberlin's Heiser Auditorium.
