October 14 (Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) Be a Good Ancestor Workshop: Collecting and Preserving Your Family History, Stories, Photographs and Artifacts

They have extensive experience and advanced training in archival and artifact preservation, genealogy and oral history. The morning session will address proper care of artifacts, documents, textiles and photographs. The afternoon session will provide guidance on genealogy and oral history.
Lunch and an optional half-hour individual follow-up consultation with either of the presenters are included in the price for the all day workshop which costs $55 ($50 for Oberlin Heritage Center members). Registration for either the morning or afternoon session is also available for $35 ($30 per members) plus $10 should you wish to have lunch with the presenters and attendees. All attendees will receive a folder of resource materials to take home. Pre-registration is required and is limited to 25 participants. Presented at the Oberlin Depot.
