Oberlin Memories - Siddall Family

Lawrence B. Siddall recently shared with us two chapters of his family history project. The first chapter, Life in China, 1923-1932, is about his father's work as a medical missionary in China and the early, sometimes difficult, years of the Siddall family. The second chapter, Growing Up in Oberlin, 1933-1953, includes vignettes of a small town and coming of age.

Staff at the Heritage Center were particualrly excited to add this to the online History Features section since the Siddall family once lived in what is today known as the Monroe House, where the museum offices are located.

Let us know if you have memories of Oberlin to share online too!
