Effective Saturday, March 14, The Oberlin Heritage Center will be closed to the public including tours, public programs, and camps. Details on some of the programs that were coming up:
With so many events being cancelled, it’s great to announce we are still offering the OHC-Members only tour of the Allen Memorial Art Museum. The tour will now be virtual via Zoom and be led by Andria Derstine, John G. W. Cowles Director, and curators of the museum. The virtual tour includes entertaining stories about highlights in the permanent collection plus a look at the current special exhibitions. This free tour is a special offering to OHC members and advance reservations are required due to limited bandwidth.
Pollinator Garden activities that had been postponed to May 16 have been cancelled. OHC Grounds Day, also on Saturday, May 16, will continue to take place. Updates on OHC Grounds Day and the Pollinator Garden project can be read here.
If anyone has questions, please contact The Oberlin Heritage Center by phone at 440-774-1700 during business hours. Or, you can email us at [email protected]. We are acting out of an abundance of caution particularly for our volunteers and staff, and also for the continued safety of the residents of our communities.
Future updates will be communicated on OHC’s website, social media pages, and by e-mail.
We want to thank you for your continued support of the Oberlin Heritage Center.
