Oct 27 - Life in Pittsfield and Oberlin

October 27 (Tuesday, 7:15 p.m.)  Family historian LynnYoungblood will present Life in Pittsfield and Oberlin, 1890-1909:  The Diaries of Harriet Pomeroy McRoberts at Kendal at Oberlin's Heiser Auditorium. 

She will share stories and illustrations about the life of her great, great grandmother who was among the early settlers of the area and whose farm house on Hallauer Road has been in the family for 175 years.  Lynn Youngblood  has spent years transcribing diaries and going through family papers and pulling together a remarkable story of a pioneer woman, her family and place in the world.  

Lynn grew up on the family farm.  She is a graduate of Oberlin High School and Ohio State University and works for a veterinary practice. She is active with the Pittsfield Township Historical Society.
