Two Weeks * Two Camps * 4 Chances to Participate!

Area schools have different breaks, so OHC is offering two weeks of two-day camps.

 

Feel the Oberlin Rhythm

This two-day camp will feature one of Oberlin’s most well-known trademarks: music. Participants will get to try their hand at making instruments out of recycled materials, learn historic songs and dances, visit musical centers within the community, and play rhythmic games.

Spark an Idea! Power and Energy in Ohio

Curious about how people thrived without electricity in the past? Want to know how we can use renewable resources in our daily lives? Join us as we explore human ingenuity through hands-on activities that demonstrate historic modes of power and the diverse ways we create energy today. Maybe you will generate some ideas of your own!

Oberlin Heritage Center camps are open to boys and girls ages 8 to 13 and run from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m each day. Camps are designed to stimulate children’s creativity and encourage curiosity about history, architecture, art, and other cultures. Camp will be held at the Oberlin Depot at 240 South Main Street, sometimes with walking field trips to interesting places nearby, weather permitting.  Children should bring a bag lunch each day and dress for outdoor activities.  Simple snacks are provided.
