History Walk begins at the front of Westwood Cemetery (Morgan St.).
*Please note that this tour is not led by a costumed interpreter nor is it a ghost tour. The tour is appropriate for all ages.*
This guided tour promises a pleasing balance of Westwood's scenic landmarks and stories of some of the many spirited men and women of Oberlin who simply refused the status quo. Find out which resident was remembered as "gentle, soft-spoken, tolerant and yet nobody's fool." Visit the headstone of the man who escaped from slavery (twice!) and later served on the Oberlin village council.
This tour lasts approximately 75 minutes and covers approximately 1 walking mile. Please note there are no restrooms or facilities located at the cemetery.
Advance registration requested. Register on-line or call 440.774.1700. This history walk will be cancelled if it is raining at start time and registrants may request refunds or transfers.
