OHC Kicks off Annual Fund campaign

We’re back in full swing at the Oberlin Heritage Center! We’re welcoming all – individuals and groups, residents and out-of-towners, students and educators, researchers and the curious – to explore and be inspired by Oberlin’s rich history. We’ve launched both an Architecture and a Civil War to Civil Rights history walk. We’re scheduling both in-person and virtual programs and actively participating in community events. Everyone is invited to our annual Root Beer & Yesteryear festivities outdoors on our campus this September. The behind-the-scenes collection of artifacts and oral histories as well as digitization of resources is ongoing.

Check out just some of the photos taken this year that capture special moments from recent months highlighting our impact in the community.

Local history is made accessible to all through our many free programs and activities, and our basic membership and tour fees are priced to encourage broad community participation. OHC depends on a successful end-of-year Annual Fund campaign to support ongoing operations including year-round history education, program development, research assistance and communications with members and visitors.

This year’s Annual Fund goal of $48,500 to be raised by December 31, 2022 is necessary to balance the budget and maintain essential day-to-day museum operating needs.

I hope you will join me in making a tax-deductible donation. As always, your support is tremendously appreciated year-round and will ensure that the Heritage Center continues to thrive as a vibrant contributing partner in the community.

Sincerely,

Gail Wood,

Board President
