August 18 - The Civil War: Oberlin Perspectives

August 18.  (Thursday at 7:15 p.m.)  The Civil War:  Oberlin Perspectives on the Home Front and War Front.   

An illustrated program weaving together stories of the local push for emancipation, war support efforts, battles, long marches, imprisonment, courageous efforts, humorous situations, and of extraordinary individuals from Oberlin.  Presented by Karyn Norwood, Ohio History Corps/AmeriCorps worker coordinating local and regional Civil War 150th anniversary initiatives throughout Northeast Ohio.

Location:  Heiser Auditorium, Kendal at Oberlin.  Free and open to all.
