May 22 - 25: Memorial Day Weekend Tour Schedule

History Walks & Tablet Tours (Saturday-Sunday)

*Update 5/6/2020*

All guided history walks and rentable tablet tours offered Memorial Day Weekend have been cancelled due to extension of Ohio Stay-at-Home (Stay Safe Ohio) Order through May 29. Individuals are still welcome to participate in self-guided tours at Westwood Cemetery at any time, and a staff member will still be present from 11:00am-2:00pm on Monday, May 25 (Memorial Day) to facilitate these activities (see below for more details).

Free Westwood Cemetery Tours and GPS Guides (Monday, Memorial Day)

On Memorial Day (Monday, May 25), an OHC staff member will be present from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the cemetery to guide people on the use of the izi.TRAVEL tour smartphone app to access a free tour of the cemetery's service men and women. The staff member can also show visitors the new mapping function of OHC's online gravestone database that can help visitors find specific monuments in the cemetery (weather permitting).

The Oberlin Heritage Center offers a number of options for themed history walks this weekend. Tour fees: $6 for adults; OHC members, college students, and children under 18 enjoy all tours free.

***Special Notice Relating to COVID-19 Pandemic Procedures***

For the safety and health of our visitors and staff, all scheduled history walks will have limited capacity to maintain safe social distancing recommendations. As such, all history walks require advance registration and payment.

We ask that everyone attending tours please wear a mask if they are able to do so. Please be advised that docents will be wearing masks, which may negatively impact visitors with hearing impairment. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause. If you have any questions or concerns about our history walk operations, or would like to make a reservation, please call 440-774-1700 or email the Museum Education and Tour Coordinator
