Nov. 8 & 9 Parents' Weekend Special Tours
Friday, November 8 and Saturday, November 9 (Oberlin College's Parents Weekend). College parents and other visitors have several opportunities to take part in the Freedom's Friends History Walk or Mini Tours of the Oberlin Heritage Center this weekend. Choose from:
- Freedom's Friends History Walk (Friday at 3 p.m., Saturday at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.). This guided 75-minute walk features historic decisions that shaped Oberlin's growth as a hotbed for abolitionism and highlights individuals and events that marked Oberlin as one of the most active stations of the Underground Railroad. Advance reservations requested. $6 per adult; free for OHC members, college students, and children under 18 years accompanied by a parent or guardian. Max: 40 participants per history walk.

- Guided Oberlin Origins/Sneak Peek tours of the first floor of the Monroe House will be offered every half hour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 9. Walk-ins are welcome.
