Oberlin and the Adventure Cycling Underground Railroad Route

Oberlin was already on the 2,000 mile "Underground Railroad Bicycle Route" that extends from Mobile Bay, Alabama to Ontario, Canada.  The original route, created by the Adventure Cycling Association, arrived in Oberlin and went east around Lake Erie.  This year, cyclists will be thrilled to try the new 500 mile "Detroit Alternate" that goes west around the lake.  It is only fitting that Oberlin, a historic station and hotbed of abolition, is now an anchor for both routes!
